Every sad song you hear could be the soundtrack to your life,
No one hears you when you sit alone and cry,
People look over you or talk to the next guy,
You often think, why do I try?

The clouds seem to like opening up on you,
and you smile through the tears, as you're told to do,
You feel alone, sitting on a crowded bus,
You're told to 'keep your chin up', no one makes a fuss

You're going through the motions, heading towards a goal,
but someone forgot to tell you just what you're aiming for,
Life's not enough, and you're as bored as can be,
None of this is right, this isn't what it's meant to be!
