I had an email from someone I know over in the USA earlier. I can't tell if he's trying to pick a fight or what. Here's what he said...
'HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY !!!!!!
the day we americans celibrate our freedom. oh yeah
from you over in the motherland! hmm i wonder do you have fire works and celibrate there because Great Britian got rid of its "problem child" america? while we cleibrate independance'
Is it just me, or does that seem odd?! Also today, I've noted that some people just HAVE to start picking pieces away and causing arguments about historical things. Look, I have no interest in hearing people gloat in my face about how Americans regained their independence from the UK a long time ago. I love America and if I were still me and alive back then, I would've wanted you to get your independence too! This whole thing of 'Haha, we won you' and also ('We saved your ass in the war') means bugger all to me as I WASN'T EVEN THERE. Nobody 'WON' me or anyone else I know personally. I wasn't even alive, and neither were any of the people who do the gloating. You did nothing personally during that time, so why are you trying to pick a fight? lol! Also, about the war, I'm so glad Americans helped us back then, just as I'd hope we'd help America at the same time. Honestly, do you honestly think that I sit and kick myself over Americans gaining their independence?! I'm bloody glad you did! lol!
So why this need to try and start a feud over things that are long gone? I mean, get over it?!
I'd just like to note that this message is only to THOSE people that I'm talking about, not Americans in general, and I'm sorry if this has offended anyone.
Honestly, SOME PEOPLE! Grrr!
Long live America, and the UK, and Australia, and Canada, and Ireland, and France, and Germany, and Brazil, and....see my point here? lol!

Lemme at em, lemme at em! Jerks. Tell those stupid Americans to shut up. (LOL yes, I do realize what I just said.) As an American, it's interesting to think of what life would be like had we not separated from Great Britain. But that doesn't give people the right to think we're somehow the "winners" of wars and such. Look at the one we're in now. We can't get ourselves out! Had to throw in the political commentary :-P So you just don’t let em get to ya Stevie. I <3 England, America! What now?! lol
Love your *deep breath* fellow French secret spy operative, faithful American sidekick, and companion in the Big Font Trub Buds (this is getting ridiculous, mister. lol)

Hi Ya Ste...
I think your " friend " needs to learn how to spell for a start...
Thank goodness that our generation is more mature and knows how much value to put on friendships..
Does it really matter what happened years ago in the past ?
That's where it should stay now...
I have many friends in the USA and have better things to talk about than yesteryear. Life is far too short to carry things on..
Independence Day is a tradition to our American friends and we respect that and wish them well, as they do us for our St.Patrick's Day in Ireland.
love you

Brazil?! Screw 'em...it's their fault we've been introduced to the thong!

About the other comment? Delete and block. Who has time for pissy people, right?! ;-P

Oh honey, that's nothing. You should see and hear the Southern Americans get going about the Civil War. They lost and they still go on and on and on about it! Crazy people.

Well said!!! :o)

Just ignore it! It was a long time ago. That person needs to grow up.
